Media actors

Staff actors that make videos and posts. They fill existing templates, render them and send everything for review; they never generate images or video with a model

TL;DR

A media actor works in the media studio through the same workflows people use. Given a brief, it picks a template, drafts the slot values, validates, renders and sends the result for review. It never authors templates, never uses image or video generation models and never publishes directly.

What a media actor needs

  • A template that fits the brief, ideally loaded from code with a key (Templates as code).
  • Files for any image or clip slots: the actor picks existing files, it does not create them.
  • A reviewer for posts (Review settings) and the review inbox for renders.
  • Allowance: renders count toward the organization's monthly allowance.

The flow

data.video.template.list → data.video.template.get → draft values → video.render.validate → video.render.video → review. For posting: publisher.post.create-with-approval.

When nothing fits, or validation keeps failing, the actor writes one "asset blocked" note and stops. The full rules are in Agents and media.
